Privacy Policy
Effective August 12, 2026
Overview
NextCal is a calendar application that helps you view upcoming events, countdowns, and formatted event descriptions. This policy explains the information NextCal may process when you use the web app or the forthcoming iPad app.
Information we process
When you connect a calendar or create an account, NextCal may process your name, email address, account identifiers, calendar names, event details, event descriptions, dates, times, and related calendar settings. We may also receive basic technical information such as device type, browser type, IP address, and diagnostic data needed to operate and improve the service.
How we use information
We use information to connect and display your calendars, identify your next event, render event descriptions, maintain your account, troubleshoot problems, protect the service, and understand how NextCal is used. We do not sell your personal information.
Connected calendar services
If you connect Google Calendar or another calendar provider, NextCal accesses calendar information only through the permissions you approve. Your use of that provider remains subject to its own privacy policy. You can revoke NextCal's access through your provider's account settings.
Service providers
We may use trusted providers for hosting, authentication, analytics, error monitoring, and other infrastructure. They may process limited information on our behalf under their own contractual and security obligations.
Retention and security
We retain information only as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect NextCal. We use reasonable safeguards, though no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You may disconnect a calendar at any time through your calendar provider. You may also request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information associated with your NextCal account, subject to applicable law and legitimate retention needs.
Children's privacy
NextCal is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as NextCal evolves. The effective date above will be revised when changes are posted.
